Learn salsa, then Konrad cooks a proper Colombian meal
Konrad was dancing salsa before he was cooking it. He teaches partner footwork, timing and body movement at a pace that works for complete beginners — and gives intermediate dancers something to take home too. The lesson runs in his Thun studio or a booked dance space.
Dinner follows immediately: Konrad cooks a proper Colombian meal from scratch — Bandeja Paisa, Empanadas, or Ajiaco depending on the season. No restaurant booking, no rushing. Three hours of salsa and Colombian food.
Warm-up and timing basics
Salsa 1-2-3 timing, body posture, and the basic step. Konrad starts slowly — no embarrassment, no rush.
Partner work and turn patterns
Cross-body lead, basic turn, right-hand turn. For solo dancers: shine moves and footwork drills instead.
Free dance — Konrad DJs
Dance to actual salsa music with Konrad calling cues. Usually the moment things start to click.
Colombian dinner
Konrad moves to the kitchen — the music stays on. Dinner is ready in 30 minutes.
Eat together
Bandeja Paisa (or the evening's selection) with chicha or aguapanela. Conversation and music.
A small city with a genuinely lively evening scene — the lesson and dinner are based here, a short walk from the train station.
