Hard kayaks give you proper control, range, and the ability to cross open water — something a rubber boat simply cannot do. Konrad equips every paddler with a sit-in touring kayak, paddle, and full safety kit, then takes you to the route that fits your experience and the day's conditions.

Three routes are available depending on season, group level, and what you want to see: Lake Thun for castle views and calm bays, Lake Brienz for raw glacier-fed water and dramatic cliff faces, or the Aare corridor for a current-assisted journey through the Bernese lowlands. Konrad reads conditions and recommends the best option on the day.

Three iconic waterways

Lake Thun

17.5 km long. Medieval castles on the north shore, the Bernese Alps reflected on the south. Calm bays around Spiez and Oberhofen.

Lake Brienz

Glacier-fed and intensely green. The dramatic Giessbach waterfall drops directly to the lake shore. More remote than Thun — fewer motor boats.

Aare River

Current-assisted paddling from Thun toward Bern. Forest corridors, no roads, swimming stops wherever you want.

Beatushöhlen Bay

A sheltered cove on the north shore of Lake Thun below the famous St. Beatus Caves — a classic lunch stop on longer tours.
