Full day on Gstaad slopes with Konrad, end with raclette
Gstaad is one of the great Alpine ski resorts — and Konrad knows the blue and red runs well enough to spend a full day on them without repeating a piste. He skis as your companion and will coach on technique, terrain choice and lift sequencing if wanted.
The day ends with raclette back in Thun. Konrad melts Valais cheese over potatoes and pickles for as long as anyone wants to keep eating.
Train from Thun to Gstaad
Golden Pass line. Konrad recommends the GoldenPass Express from Interlaken for the better window seats.
First lifts
Konrad selects the first runs based on snow conditions and the group's level. Usually starts on the Wispile if the snow is good.
Mountain lunch
One of the Gstaad summit restaurants. Konrad books a table in advance in peak season.
Afternoon runs
The best runs on the best snow, based on the morning's assessment.
Last lift down
Back to the village. Train back to Thun.
Raclette in Thun
Konrad fires the raclette grill. Valais cheese, potatoes, cornichons. The post-ski meal Switzerland invented for exactly this situation.
220 km of piste across 6 valleys. Blue and red-dominated — good terrain for intermediate skiers who want range and scenery.
Konrad's preferred sector — quieter than the Saanenland main runs and better snow retention on the north-facing sections.
