À propos de Grindelwald

Grindelwald sits at 1,034m directly below the Eiger's notorious north face (3,967m), one of the most feared routes in Alpine climbing. The village has attracted mountaineers since the 19th century — the Eiger's 1,800m vertical north wall was not climbed until 1938, and it remains a symbol of extreme alpinism. Today the new Eiger Express gondola reaches Eigergletscher (2,320m) in eight minutes, making the summit approach faster than ever.

In summer, Grindelwald-First (2,168m) is the adventure platform: the First Flyer zip-line, First Glider paraglider swing, and cliff walk extend along the ridge with Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau in constant view.
