Cómo llegar

Main regional hub — direct trains from Bern (55 min), Zurich (2h). Two stations: Interlaken West and Interlaken Ost.

Sobre Interlaken

Interlaken lies on a flat plain (the Bödeli) between Lake Thun to the west and Lake Brienz to the east, commanding sweeping views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The town has been Switzerland's premier alpine resort since the 19th century, when Victorian-era grand hotels lined the Höheweg promenade to receive European aristocracy arriving by the first mountain railways.

Today it is the adventure capital of the Alps — paragliding, skydiving, canyoning, and white-water kayaking operate year-round from certified outfitters. The Harder Kulm funicular (1908) reaches 1,322m in ten minutes, where a glass-floored viewing platform frames both lakes simultaneously. Jungfraujoch (3,454m), the highest railway station in Europe, departs from nearby Interlaken Ost.
